Hi, I’m Allison!
Have you ever struggled to be your authentic self? Do you feel unfulfilled or like something is missing and you’re searching for some relief? Perhaps you experience self-doubt, perfectionism, unrealistic expectations, unhealthy thinking patterns, mental blocks, and feel like your best isn’t good enough? So, you find yourself saying you’ll handle it later or think your concerns will just pass – yet the issue never disappears, and you’re left feeling overwhelmed, out of control, stuck, hopeless, scared, and alone. It may feel difficult to ask for help or you might fear being judged, criticized, or rejected.
I’m so glad you are here as it takes a great amount of courage to take the first step in your path to taking care of you. I am here to provide a safe space where you feel seen, heard, and accepted. To support you in acknowledging and recognizing your thoughts and feelings and find the courage to be your true self. I believe that living authentically will help you to discover your path to a more fulfilling life.
Through our work together, I hope you improve relationships, increase your self-awareness and self-esteem/self-confidence, develop a better relationship with yourself and your body, peace with your sport, and allow yourself to accept you as you. Change, no matter how small or large, can be challenging. You can overcome these difficulties and you don’t have to do it alone.
My extensive clinical experience and background include working in all levels of care with individuals who struggle with eating disorders/disordered eating, body image concerns, sports injuries, sports performance concerns, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, perfectionism, identity exploration, interpersonal difficulties, school concerns, hospitalizations, and trauma. I also was an elite athlete from a very young age and participated in a D1 sport while I attended college. These experiences help me to provide a unique perspective to a variety of clients.
I prioritize an authentic therapeutic relationship, meeting you where you are at, humor, and trust. I strive to help you feel safe, heard, and accepted. When I am not in the office, I enjoy baking, reading, watching movies/television shows, spending time with loved ones, cuddling with my dog, exploring the outdoors, traveling, and trying out new coffee shops and restaurants. It would be an honor to walk alongside you and to help support and challenge you on your journey to be your best self. The best is yet to come.
